New Coffee Shop Brings Taste Of The Mediterranean To UES
L B Coffee, opening soon on the corner of East 84th Street, promises to bring a flavorful taste of the Mediterranean to the neighborhood.
UPPER EAST SIDE, NY — Caffeine lovers on the Upper East Side will soon have a new spot to call their own, as a Mediterranean-inspired coffee shop prepares to open on a local block.
LB Coffee has signed a lease for the storefront at 454 E 84th Street, between York Avenue and First Avenue. Named after the Arabic phrase for “my heart,” the shop promises to offer more than just coffee, it aims to create a welcoming space where people can gather, share stories and experience a taste of Mediterranean warmth and hospitality on the Upper East Side.
Describing itself as “rooted in tradition,” L B COFFEE’s owners have designed the space to bring people together. Every detail—from the olive tree in the décor to the Mediterranean-inspired bites—honors their heritage while embracing New York’s fast-paced rhythm.

"We believe small businesses change neighborhoods. We hope to grow into a space that creates experiences and elevated moments through events, community gatherings, and our products," the team wrote on their website.
An official opening date has yet to be announced, but the owners say they’re nearly at the finish line and excited to open soon.

The menu at LB Coffee is expected to be simple, featuring artisan coffee paired with Mediterranean-inspired bites; however, the full offerings have not yet been announced.
