UPPER EAST SIDE, NY — Upper East Siders will soon have a new local spot backed by a big-name restaurateur to sip fancy cocktails, according to reports.

Restaurateur Curt Huegel has locked down a lease for a new establishment at 1373 First Ave., located between East 73rd and 74th streets, that will serve up high-end drinks, the NY Post first reported. Community Board 8 has received the business' application for a liquor license, according to the report.

Commercial real estate publication Connect New York described the new business as an "upscale watering hole" that's due to open this summer. Meridian Capital Group represented the landlord in negotiations over the 10-year lease for the 1,100-square-foot space, according to the report.
