UPPER EAST SIDE, NY – A new Home Depot will open its doors on the edge of the Upper East Side on Thursday, Oct. 24. It’s been planned for years – since at least 2020 – and will be situated in a four-floor space previously occupied by Bed Bath & Beyond.

The 116,000-square-foot location, at 410 East 61st Street at 1st Avenue, will replace the Home Depot at 980 3rd Avenue only a few blocks away, which has served the neighborhood for years.

Opening day – Thursday – will feature food trucks, prizes, and other giveaways. The new location will offer the usual hardware and home improvement items, as well as specialized services like tropical plant displays and lockers for online order pickups.
