UPPER EAST SIDE, NY – A new kosher restaurant, Lox, is now open at the Jewish Museum on the Upper East Side, according to a report in Jewish Telegraphic Agency.

Chef David Teyf, who also runs a Lox restaurant at the Museum of Jewish Heritage in Battery Park City, will bring his expertise in cured salmon (and more) to the new location.

One example? “Lox Five Ways,” a sampler featuring five types of cured salmon, including a classic dill, a gin-infused lox, pastrami lox, a double-smoked contender, and even a sake ginger lox. The dish, designed for sharing, is served with cream cheeses, bagels, and various traditional accompaniments like cucumbers, tomatoes, onions, and capers.Other menu items include borscht, vegan carrot lox, matzo ball soup, herring, babka, and more.
