UPPER EAST SIDE, NY — The rent might be rising, but the price of prescription eyewear in Lenox Hill will soon drop.

Warby Parker, the popular purveyor of affordable glasses, is set to take over a corner location on Third Avenue at East 69th Street, according to their website.

It will be their second Upper East Side location since first opening in the neighborhood a decade ago.

The storefront was formerly home to a recently closed Dentistry office called DNTL Bar, at 1187 Third Ave.

According to Warby Parker's website, the store will open "soon," but no other details were available. A representative for the company did not respond to an email.

The company, originally known for their innovative direct-to-consumer mail-order glasses brand, has recently expanded to a massive footprint of over 200 retail stores across the country.

In just the last year alone, the company set its sights on opening 40 new stores nationwide. One of those new stores was just across the park on the Upper West Side.

In 2014, Warby Parker opened their first Upper East Side location — their third in Manhattan at the time — inside the former Lascoff Drugs Pharmacy on Lexington Avenue and East 82nd Street.

Lascoff Drugs opened in 1899, and was the first licensed pharmacy in New York. It closed in 2012.

When Warby Parker opened inside the two-story space, they kept many of the original details, including the terrazzo floor and the large green sign out front, adding their name to the top of the iconic signboard.
