Overturned Car On Upper East Side Leaves 3 Injured, Streets Closed

The car overturned near East 76th Street and Madison Avenue.

UPPER EAST SIDE, MANHATTAN — Three people were injured when a car overturned on the Upper East Side on Wednesday morning, authorities said.

The car flipped over near East 76th Street and Madison Avenue around 6:30 a.m., an FDNY spokesman told Patch. It's unclear what caused the car to be overturned, but FDNY said it responded to a car crash.

Two injured people were taken to New York Hospital, and the third refused medical attention on scene, the FDNY said. Their conditions were not immediately clear.

ABC7 reported that streets in the area were closed off because of the crash. The NYPD could not immediately confirm that information to Patch.
