UPPER EAST SIDE, NY — A pedestrian was hit by a vehicle on the Upper East Side Sunday, according to officials.
The collision happened on Second Avenue and East 79th Street on Sunday at around 3:15 p.m., according to an FDNY spokesperson.
Officials said a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle, but said the victim refused medical attention at the scene.

The collision comes after a dangerous start to the month for pedestrians, including a 30-year-old woman who died days after being struck by an SUV just steps from her Yorkville home.
Additionally, two cyclist were also hit by cars on the Upper East Side over the weekend — both on Second Avenue. Officials said that in each collision, the cyclists blew through red lights.
