Replica 'Back To The Future' DeLorean Gets In UES Fender Bender

Police blamed the minor traffic collision on double parking, and said the vehicle's flux capacitor wasn't "too badly damaged."

UPPER EAST SIDE, NY — A DeLorean retrofitted to resemble the time machine from the "Back to the Future" film series got into a fender bender on the Upper East Side when it collided with a double-parked car, according to the local police precinct.

The collision proved minor, and the replica vehicle and its driver were largely unharmed, police said.

"Thankfully both Doc (uninjured) & the Flux Capacitor (not too badly damaged) were able to make it . Please don’t double park," the NYPD's 19th Precinct said on Twitter.
