Rudy Giuliani Calls Cops On Sacha Baron Cohen For UES Hotel Prank
The "Borat" comedian allegedly pranked former NYC mayor Rudy Giuliani while wearing a bikini at the Upper East Side's Mark Hotel.
UPPER EAST SIDE, NY — Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani called police on renowned trickster Sacha Baron Cohen this week as the comedian attempted to prank him at an Upper East Side hotel, Giuliani's communications director said.
The former mayor, who also serves on President Donald Trump's personal legal team, agreed to an interview at the Mark Hotel to discuss Trump's handling of the coronavirus crisis when Baron Cohen allegedly crashed the interview in a bikini, Giuliani spokesperson Christianne Allen posted on Twitter.
"Cohen barged onto the set screaming hysterically while wearing a multi-colored bikini with a mesh sash," Allen wrote.

"Sacha Baron Cohen was last seen running down East 77th Street. If you see him call his family," the former mayor Tweeted.
The prank attempt was first reported by Page Six. Police did end responding to the hotel, but did not arrest Baron Cohen, according to the report. Giuliani admitted he was a fan of some of Cohen's work in his interview with the Post's gossip section while quoting a line from "Borat."
Baron Cohen's most recent show "Who is America" featured numerous fake interviews and pranks with notable right-wing political figures such as Vice President Dick Cheney, Alabama Senate candidate Roy Moore and former Arizona Sheriff Joe Arpaio. Cohen has said that he is not preparing a second season of the show, which aired on Showtime in 2018.
