So Long From Your Upper East Side Reporter
Nick Garber leaves Patch after two great years of neighborhood news. Here's how to reach your new Upper East Side reporter.

UPPER EAST SIDE, NY — Dear Upper East Side readers: after more than two years covering the neighborhood, this week was my last at Patch.
I'm taking on a new reporting job in the city later this month.
But don't fret: the Upper East Side is in the capable hands of Peter Senzamici, who takes over as your neighborhood reporter starting Monday, Jan. 9. Email your juiciest tips and most salacious stories to him.

It's been a joy covering the ups and downs of the neighborhood since 2020: the Blood Center rezoning, subway elevator protests, political squabbles, park-blocking barricades, a lion-fronted mansion, dozens of new restaurants, the likely demise of Papaya King, and the tenant-developer battles on 86th and First.
In that time, I've learned what Upper East Siders value the most: Trader Joe's, rare birds, Barnes & Noble books, and the Brooklyn Blackout Cakes from Two Little Red Hens bakery. (Slated to reopen this year!)

I've relished the opportunity to field your questions, chase down your tips and tell the neighborhood's stories. Please keep in touch (email me here, or follow me on Twitter) — and keep reading Patch.
Sincerely,
Nick Garber
