UES Bike Thief Arrested An Hour Later In The Bronx: NYPD
One of two men who robbed a person of his motorbike at gunpoint early Friday was quickly cuffed by officers, police said.

UPPER EAST SIDE, NY — A member of an armed duo who robbed a person of their motorbike on an Upper East Side street was cuffed just an hour later and miles away in the northern Bronx, police said.
Ariel Maldonando, 20, was arrested by police and charged with robbery, assault, criminal possession of stolen property, resisting arrest and reckless driving, according to officials.
Police say that Maldonado and another accomplice jumped a man riding a motorbike at around 1 a.m. Friday on East 65th Street near York Avenue.

One of the two men pulled out a gun, police said, and demanded the ride, police said.
Despite the victim's reluctance to cooperate with police, officials said, cops made the arrest about an hour later in the Bronx's 52nd Precinct, whose station house is about 11 miles north of Lenox Hill.

After Maldonado was arrested, officers brought him back to the 19th Precinct for booking, according to the NYPD.
