UES Dominates High-End Housing Market This Week

UPPER EAST SIDE, NY — The Upper East Side dominated the luxury housing market this past week, with more sales over $4,000,000 than any other neighborhood, according to the Olshan Luxury Market Report, which tracks luxury sales in Manhattan.

In Manhattan, 29 contracts for homes worth more than $4,000,000 were signed between Sept. 29 and Oct. 5, Olshan reported, representing a general uptick in the market.

On the Upper East Side, 13 contracts for luxury apartments were signed, including three co-ops, eight condos, and two townhouses, according to Olshan. The priciest contract on the Upper East Side was for $19,000,000 on Fifth Avenue.

This is the second time in the last three months where the Upper East Side has dominated the market, Olshan reported.
