Upper East Side Man, 77, Reported Missing, Police Say

The NYPD issued a "silver alert" for the 77-year-old man, who has been missing since Monday.

UPPER EAST SIDE, NY — The NYPD is asking the public to help locate a missing Upper East Sider who hasn't been seen in nearly a week, police said.

Hartmut Munker, 77, was last seen leaving his East 61st Street and Third Avenue building around 9 a.m. Monday, police said. The NYPD issued a "silver alert" for the man, and said that he suffers from depression and anxiety. Police said Munker often volunteers in Central Park.

Munker is described as standing 5-foot-7 and weighing about 170 pounds with blue eyes and white hair. Police said he was last seen wearing a black jacket, blue jeans and black sneakers
