UPPER EAST SIDE, NY — A consignment business that facilitates the buying and selling of luxury goods is opened its newest brick-and-mortar store Wednesday on the Upper East Side, the company announced.

The RealReal's new store on Madison Avenue and East 71st Street will employ a full team of experts at its "luxury consignment office" that will help Upper East Siders offload luxury goods that they no longer want. The store's staff features a wide variety of appraisers that can put a price on anything from jewelry to watches to sneakers, according to a press release.

Shoppers can also find ready-to-use items at the Madison Avenue store from a curated selection of handbags, fine jewelry and watches, art and home pieces. The RealReal will also help shoppers consign luxury items from the business' vast collection of secondhand goods such as Hermes bags and vintage Rolex watches.

The Upper East Side store will be The RealReal's third brick-and-mortar location. The company was founded as an online-only business and then branched out to physical locations in SoHo and Los Angeles.

"We're growing our presence in New York to support the strong demand we've seen for both shopping and consigning since opening our SoHo store a year and a half ago," Julie Wainwright, CEO of The RealReal, said in a statement. "This new format store bridges the gap between our Luxury Consignment Offices and our Flagships stores, bringing together an expanded assortment of expert services and a curated selection of luxury goods."
