Cops Looking For 2nd Suspect After Maria Hernandez Killed On UWS: NYPD
Shortly after an arrest was made in the death of Maria Hernandez on the UWS, NYPD are now looking for a second suspect, police said.

UPPER WEST SIDE, NY — Shortly after a man was arrested and charged with murder of a 74-year-old woman on the Upper West Side, NYPD announced late Monday they are looking for a second suspect, police said.
Cops did not specify what role the second suspect allegedly played in the death of Maria Hernandez, but released a photo of him.

Hernandez was found dead with her hands and feet tied within her apartment on West 83rd Street between Amsterdam and Columbus, police said.

Lashawn Mackey, 47, was arrested on Monday in connection to her death and charged with murder and burglary, police said.
An NYPD spokesperson told ABC7 that Mackey was a temporary worker in the building where Maria Hernandez lived in on West 83rd Street between Amsterdam and Columbus.

Cops did not specify how Mackey got into her apartment or what his motive might have been.
