UPPER WEST SIDE, NY - A Harlem man was arrested after reportedly punching a woman near a busy Upper West Side intersection Tuesday, authorities said.

Fernando Camarena, 45, was charged with assault after allegedly punching a 33-year-old woman near Amsterdam Avenue and West 76th Street about 2:53 p.m., police said.

The victim refused medical assistance on scene, police said.

It was not immediately clear if the pair knew each other or if a dispute led up to the attack.
