Mexican-Seafood Spot Opening On Upper West Side: What To Know

UPPER WEST SIDE, NY — A Mexican-influenced seafood eatery from a successful restaurant group is opening next week on the Upper West Side.
El Fish Marisqueria will open Feb. 2 on Amsterdam Avenue and West 67th Street.
Chef Julian Medina embarked on a culinary exploration to Mexico's fishing capital to find inspiration for the menu.

The menu will serve up New England Clam Chowder, Lobster Bisque, Oysters, Jumbo Shrimp, Tuna Causa, Ceviche, Tostadas, Tacos, Brochetas de Salmon Kung Pao, Fideo Seco, and Branzino.
There will also be an extensive cocktail list.

Medina is running the new eatery along with Louis Skibar, who is also the restauranteur who reopened and revamped Old John's Luncheonette in the neighborhood.
The new location brings elements from the original New England-seafood pop-up spot opened in Astoria in 2020, but will now "incorporate quintessential Mexican influences throughout, servicing the Upper West Side neighborhood."
The new UWS restaurant will be open Sunday through Wednesday from 4 to 10 p.m., and Thursday through Saturday from 4 to 11 p.m. The address is 155 Amsterdam Ave.
