Shots Fired In UWS Parking Lot Near School Building: NYPD
The gunfire near an Upper West Side secondary school was reported midday Thursday, police said. No arrests have been made to date.

UPPER WEST SIDE, NY - Authorities are investigating a report of gunshots fired from a parking lot near an Upper West Side school midday Thursday.
The shots were fired behind the 249 West 61st St. NYCHA Amsterdam & Amsterdam Addition complex about 2:15 p.m., police said. The address shares the same block with West End Secondary School, The Gateway School and the American Musical and Dramatic Academy.
There were no reported injuries as a result of the incident, police said.

It was not immediately clear how many shots were fired or if any of the school buildings were on lockdown following the incident.
No arrests have been announced as of Friday morning.
