Woman Attacked On UWS: New Photo Of Suspect Released By Police
Police released a second photo of a man over the weekend who is accused of attacking a woman on the UWS after asking for a cigarette.

UPPER WEST SIDE, NY — A second photo has been released of a man accused of attacking a woman on the Upper West Side.
A 42-year-old woman was walking near Broadway and West 79th Street about 11:30 p.m. on June 17, when a man walked up to her and asked for a cigarette light, police said.
As the woman stopped, the man immediately punched her in the face and arm, police said.

He also tried to rip the woman's bag away from her, but wasn't able to do so, police said.
The attacker then ran away east on 79th Street, police said.

NYPD describe the man as balding, last seen wearing a blue jacket with writing on it and a yellow shirt.
