Woman Found Dead With Hands, Feet Tied In UWS Apartment Homicide: Cops
The 74-year-old woman was found inside of an apartment on West 83rd Street, police said.
UPPER WEST SIDE, NY — A woman was found dead with her hands and feet tied in her Upper West Side apartment this week, police said Friday.
Maria Hernandez, 74, was discovered in her West 83rd Street home between Amsterdam and Columbus avenues about 9:55 p.m. Wednesday, after a 911 call summoned police to the apartment, the NYPD said.
Officers found Hernandez with her hands and feet tied, but she showed no other signs of trauma, police said.

Police have determined it was a homicide, but no arrests had been made as of Friday morning, according to the NYPD.
