• Completion of Holiday Drive to Help New Yorkers in Need (einpresswire.com) — Utica played a key role in New York’s statewide holiday donation drive, serving as a collection hub and home base for the Compassion Coalition, which contributed 1,295 pajamas and toys. In total, thousands of items and over a ton of food are being distributed to organizations across the Mohawk Valley and the rest of the state to support families this season.
   

• Stem Teachers Chosen To Represent New York (einpresswire.com) — Utica is among the high-needs districts with educators selected for New York’s prestigious Master Teacher and new Master Counselor programs, bringing extra recognition and support to local STEM classrooms. Governor Hochul’s initiative names 177 STEM teachers and 27 counselors statewide, who will receive stipends, mentoring opportunities, and intensive professional development through SUNY campuses to strengthen K–12 science, technology, engineering, and math education.
