Crime Report: Residential Burglaries, Stolen Tire and Rim

The information is taken directly from the Nassau County Police Department's Seventh Precinct incident reports. None of the defendants have been convicted of a crime.

• A home on Twisting Lane in Wantagh was burglarized on April 24 with jewelry and money stolen. The point of entry was through a side window, police said.
• Assorted electronics and personal papers were reported stolen from a 2012 black Honda parked in the driveway of a home on Smith Street in Wantagh on April 24. No damage to the vehicle was reported.
• The convertible roof of a 2004 Chrysler parked in parking lot S6 of the station was reported cut on April 24.
• On April 24, Laura Algerio, 21, of Huntington Station was arrested at the Nassau County Police Department headquarters in Seaford and charged with fifth-degree grand larceny.  
• A tire and rim were reported stolen from a 2011 white Hyundai parked on Wicks Avenue in Seaford on April 26.
• A house on Martin Court in Seaford was burglarized on April 27. Police said the point of entry was through a rear door but no items were removed.
• On April 28, Nazreen Ashraf, 45, of Amityville was arrested at the Nassau County Police Department Seventh Precinct headquarters in Seaford and charged with petit larceny and endangering the welfare of a child.
• The Red Box video screen at on 3282 Park Ave., Wantagh was reported damaged on April 30.
