Crimes Nearby Part I: School Lockout, Stolen Car
Recent criminal activity reported in Levittown and Massapequa.

The following information is taken directly from the Nassau County Police Department's incident reports. None of the defendants have been convicted of a crime.
Levittown
- Coins were stolen from a car on Twig Lane on Feb. 21.Â
- A briefcase was stolen from a car outside Fortune Wheel Restaurant on Hempstead Turnpike on Feb. 23.Â
- Cash was stolen on Glazer Lane in Levittown on Feb. 23.
- A pocketbook was stolen from a car outside Levittown Lanes and a credit card was later used at a gas station on Feb. 23.
- A car registration and insurance cards were stolen from a vehicle outside Miller's Ale House on HempsteadTurnpike on Feb. 24. Â
- A GPS and cash was stolen was a car on Loring Road in Levittown on Feb. 24.Â
- A car was keyed and its tires were slashed outside Old Country Buffett on Hempstead Turnpike on Feb. 26.Â

- On Feb. 23, a woman's pocketbook was stolen from a cart at Babies R us on Sunrise Highway. The theft occurred between 6:10 p.m. and 7 p.m.
- On Feb. 25, a car was stolen from the parking lot of the CVS at 20 Broadway in Massapequa. The owner had parked it there between 8:25 a.m. and 4 p.m. and discovered it was missing when he returned.
- A police search on Feb. 28 prompted the Massapequa School District to initiate lockout procedures in four schools. For more details, click here.Â
