Drunken Driver Arrested In Nassau With 2 Kids In SUV: Police
Officers smelled alcohol on the breath of driver, who also appeared to have glassy eyes, police say.

WANTAGH, NY — A Pennsylvania man has been arrested in Wantagh after police said he was driving drunk with his two young children in the vehicle.
Around 1:45 a.m. Saturday, police officers pulled over a 2019 Kia Sorrento that had a defective brake light, Nassau County police said. The traffic stop happened on the Sunrise Highway overpass of the Wantagh State Parkway.
Officers smelled alcohol on the breath of driver Luis Carabello-Santiago, who also appeared to have glassy eyes, police said. He was arrested without incident.

Carabello-Santiago's two daughters, ages 10 and 6, who were in the back seat were released into their mother's custody. No one was hurt.
Carabello-Santiago faces charges of aggravated DWI with a child under 16, as well as endangering the welfare of children, DWI and multiple traffic violations. He was expected to appear Saturday in 1st District Court in Hempstead.
