Long Island Swim School is the teaching arm of the nationally ranked Long Island Aquatic Club. Our Learn to Swim programs create strong, safe, and confident swimmers for life. With locations in Garden City and Syosset we train over 2,000 children each week at every swim level from Beginner to Olympian. Two police officers were hospitalized after a drunken driver struck a police vehicle in Westbury on Wednesday night, authorities say. According to police, Annamarie Siederman, 31, of Wantagh, was driving a 2011 Volkswagen on Old Country Road when she struck the rear of a police vehicle that was conducting a traffic stop at 10:05 p.m. An investigation revealed she was under the influence of alcohol, police say. Siederman was arrested without incident and charged with DWI. Two officers and Seiderman were transported to a nearby hospital for evaluation. File photo
