Fall Goes Full Tilt This Week
Here's what's happening this week in and around the Wantagh-Seaford area.

While schools opened for a few days last week, things ramp up considerably  over the next few days.  We also have some voters going to the polls and we remember those we lost 12 years ago.
Here's a look ahead:
First Full Week: The first full week of school begins in both the Wantagh and Seaford School Districts this week. In Wantagh, there will be a Booster Club meeting Monday, while Seaford holds High School grade orientations all week.
PTA: Â Seaford holds a Harbor PTA meeting on Monday at 7:45 p.m.
Football: Â With the start of the school year comes the start of Fall sports including Varsity Football. Â Seaford hosts Island Trees Thursday at 7 p.m. Â Wantagh will be home against Mepham Thursday at 4:40 p.m.
Primary: Democrats will choose their candidate for County Executive on Tuesday as primaries will be held around New York State.
9/11: On Wednesday, we will mark the 12th anniversary of the 2001 terror attacks on US soil. There will be several memorial ceremonies in the area including the annual ceremony at Seaford High School.
