Feb. 22: Basketball Playoffs, Children's Vision Screening, Whiz Kid

What's happening in and around Wantagh and Seaford.

1. The boys basketball team faced Lawrence in a quarterfinal playoff game last night. Check back later on Wantagh-Seaford Patch for a full report on the game.

2. The Seaford girls basketball team fresh off its first round over Floral Park this past Friday will be in the quarterfinals later today at Garden City starting at 6 p.m.

3. Students from Seaford Manor School, Seaford Harbor School and Maplewood School are invited to have this week from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The screenings are being offered by optometrist Dr. Eric Tennenbaum, at on 3616 Merrick Rd., Seaford.

4. Yesterday the second edition of a new Patch feature called Whiz Kid ran. In case you missed it here is of a local youngster shining in and out of the classroom.
