Feb. 4: Justice for Wantagh Family, Rock Music, Basketball

What's happening in and around Wantagh and Seaford.

1. Yesterday De Von Callicutt was sentenced to life in prison for the 2008 murder of Wantagh college student Richard Bailey in Albany. In case you missed it here is the story on the judge's ruling that gives justice to the Bailey's family.

2. Starting today there will be a new Friday feature that highlights recent home sales in the Wantagh-Seaford area. Check back later on Wantagh-Seaford Patch for a list of local recent home sales.

3. The rock band "Boomers Brew", which features former Joe Cocker Band guitarist Phil Grande, will be at Sunset Grill in Seaford starting at 9 p.m.

4. The boys and girls basketball teams will both face Roosevelt today. The Seaford boys basketball team is at Roosevelt starting at 4:30 p.m.  The Lady Vikings host Roosevelt at 7 p.m.

5. The boys and girls basketball teams will have a doubleheader at Jericho starting at 5 p.m.
