Wantagh Photographer Brings Home Fifth Local Photography Award

The woman's fifth award-winning photograph depicts the Wantagh Museum decorated for the holidays.

WANTAGH, NY. — In most sports, five championships is sufficient to be called a “dynasty.” For Nicole Vozzi, five wins in the Wantagh.LI photo contest was sufficient to earn her a shoutout from her New York State Senator, who joined her at the Wantagh Public Library to congratulate her on the victory.

Vozzi has won the competition for capturing local landmarks like the Wantagh Marina Lighthouse, trees at Wantagh Park and, this month, the Wantagh Museum. Rhoads’ office said Vozzi’s photographs, “capture the heart and character of Wantagh.”

“The recognition highlights the vital role local artists play in preserving community pride and showcasing the beauty and history of Wantagh through their work,” Rhoads’ office said.
