SEAFORD, NY — A Seaford High School graduate was part of a talented group of cheerleaders that won Sacred Heart University's first-ever national championship.

Julianna Tyznar of Seaford helped her team win the Universal Cheerleaders Association title in the All-Girl Division I category at the ESPN Wide World of Sports in Orlando, Florida, a spokeswoman for the university told Patch on Friday.
