Lake Elementary Students Serve up Pizza
First and second graders celebrate National Pizza month.
Forest Lake first and second graders don't have to wait for the family to order out for pizza anymore.
The students learned to make it themselves as part of a program celebrating national pizza month.
Teacher Patricia McDonnell read an alternate take on the classic story "THe Little Red hen,' in which the hen makes a pizza rather than bread and the class read a recipe to make English muffin pizza.
The students put on white chef's hats and made their pizza using cheese, sauce and pepperoni.
The recipe was published on a website dedicated to educational news.
