Lineup Announced for Annual Jones Beach Air Show
Memorial Day weekend event to feature 14 military and civilian performers.
The lineup for the eighth annual Bethpage Federal Credit Union Air Show at Jones Beach has been announced and will feature many military performers on Memorial Day weekend.
This year’s air show scheduled for May 28 and 29 at in Wantagh will help commemorate America’s Centennial of Naval Aviation. For the first time in the air show's nearly decade long history the Memorial Day weekend event, which attracts upwards of 400,000 people, will not feature the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds.
The military performers scheduled to perform in this year's show include U.S. Airforce F22 Raptorl U.S. Army Golden Nights Parachute Team; A-10 East Demo Team; United States Air Force Heritage Flight; 106th New York Air National Guard Air Flight Rescue Demo HC-130/HH-60, World War II B17 Flying Fortress; World War II B25 Mitchell Bomber; and World War II B29 Superfortress. Scheduled civilian performers include Sean D. Tucker for Team Oracle; John Klatt for National Guard Reserve; GEICO Skytypers, David Windmiller, American Air Power Museum Warbirds, and Mike Goulian.

“Each year, hundreds of thousands of spectators convene on Long Island to view the annual Bethpage Federal Credit Union Air Show at Jones Beach headlined by some of the most elite pilots in the world,” said Linda Armyn, Senior Vice President for Corporate Development and Government Affairs at Bethpage Federal Credit Union. “To honor this historic celebration, together with the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation, we have lined up some of the world’s best military and civilian air performers.”
The air show is scheduled for Saturday May 28 and Sunday May 29 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The shows are free to the public, but the standard $10 vehicle use fee will be collected each day upon entry into Jones Beach State Park.
