Local 9/11 Remembrance Ceremonies Scheduled for Tuesday
Wantagh and Seaford communities to commemorate 11th anniversary of Sept. 11, 2011 terrorist attacks.

Ceremonies are scheduled in Wantagh and Seaford Tuesday to commemorate the 11th anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks.Â
The Seaford 9/11 Memorial Committee will be holding its 10th annual Sept. 11 candle lighting service at . The 7 p.m. ceremony will honor the five Seaford High School graduates killed in the terrorist attacks on the World Trade including Tom Haskell, Tim Haskell, John Perry, Rob Sliwak and Michael Wittenstein.
U.S. Rep. Peter King, R-Seaford, is scheduled to speech at service. Refreshments will be provided inside Seaford High School following the ceremony with coffee and tea sponsored by Starbucks.
The will also be conducting a 9/11 remembrance service on Tuesday. The ceremony is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. at the Wantagh American Legion Post 1273, located on 3484 Park Ave.

The will be holding its annual 9/11 memorial ceremony at 9:30 a.m. The service is scheduled to take place outside the Wantagh Fire Department Station 2 House next to in Levittown.Â
The Town of Hempstead its annual seaside 9/11 memorial ceremony in Point Lookout starting at 7:30 a.m. The will be taking part in the service by erecting flag arches.Â
