Man Dives Off Boat; Airlifted To Hospital With Injured Neck: Police

WANTAGH, NY — A man was injured on Sunday afternoon when he dove off his boat, striking his head in the shallow water of Zach's Bay, police said.

The 47-year-old male victim, who was not identified, was located by the Nassau County Marine Bureau. He was transported to the Jones Beach Theater where he was airlifted to an area hospital with an injury to his neck.

No other details were provided, police said.
