New Wantagh Middle School Assistant Principal Tapped
Wantagh Elementary School teacher and supervisor, Anthony Ciuffo, unanimously approved for middle school leadership position.
Anthony Ciuffo has been approved as new assistant principal.
Ciuffo, who was previously a teacher and part-time elementary supervisor at , was unanimously approved for his new position at a salary of $112,000 during Tuesday night’s Wantagh Board of Education meeting. Ciuffo replaces Dawn Matrochano, who was tapped as Wantagh Middle School’s new principal last month following the of Dr. Timothy Piciullo.
Ciuffo attended the school board meeting with his family and was congratulated on his new position by Wantagh Superintendent Dr. Lydia Begley.

“We’re so proud to have you here Anthony and so proud to welcome you to becoming assistant principal at Wantagh Middle School,” said Dr. Begley moments after the Board of Education approved Ciuffo’s appointment in a 5-0 vote. “Congratulations to a job well done.”
