New York Cosmos to Hold Youth Soccer Clinic in Seaford Wednesday
New North American Soccer League team will be at Cedar Creek Park offering youth clinic for boys and girls ages 5-12.

The New York Cosmos, a new North American Soccer League team debuting this summer at Hofstra University’s Shuart Stadium, will be holding a youth clinic in Seaford Wednesday evening.
Players and coaching staff from the Cosmos will be attending the Nassau County youth soccer clinic at Cedar Creek Park off of Merrick Road in Seaford on Wednesday from 6-7 p.m. County officials said the clinic is designed to help children develop skills for the future including teamwork, commitment and communication with others.
“Nassau County is our new home and we want to help support the community, especially the young soccer players around here,” said New York Cosmos Chief Operating Officer Erik Stover. “We’re looking forward to many more clinics and events like these. This is only the beginning for the Cosmos and Nassau County.”
The Cosmos clinic at Cedar Creek Park is open to boys and girls between the ages of 5 – 12. Additional youth clinics by the Cosmos are also scheduled at Cedar Creek Park on May 1, May 8, May 15 and May 22.
Cosmos players and coaches expected to make appearances include Mineola-born defender Carlos Mendes, defender Hunter Freeman, midfielder Dane Murphy, assistant coach Alecko Eskandarian and head coach Giovanni Savarese.
