Police Help Deliver Baby in Seaford
Woman gives birth to baby girl off of Seaford-Oyster Bay Expressway (Route 135) at 3:07 a.m. Thursday after police officers responded to scene.

Nassau County police officers assisted in the delivery of a baby girl in Seaford during the wee hours of Thursday morning.
According to police, the Nassau County Highway Bureau along with Emergency Ambulance Bureau Units were notified at 2:55 a.m. that a pregnant female and her husband were stopped on the side of the southbound Seaford-Oyster Bay Expressway (Route 135) in the vicinity of Exit 1. Two responding officers along with two Advanced Medical Technicians located the female and placed her in the back of the ambulance where she gave birth to a baby girl at 3:07 a.m. at the scene.
A police spokesman said names of the parents would not be released. Police said the mother and child were transported to an area hospital and were reported to be in good health.Â
