Nassau County Police Commissioner Patrick Ryder is expected to testify at the Sept. 12 hearing.
ISLAND PARK, NY — As Long Islanders commemorate the 22nd anniversary of the 9/11 attacks, one congressional is examining the ongoing threat to national security.
Rep. Anthony D'Esposito (R-Island Park) will hold a field hearing at the 9/11 Memorial & Museum.
"This field hearing is a crucial opportunity to remember the thousands of innocent lives taken in those acts of evil, honor the courageous first responders who rushed into danger, and support the survivors—while reaffirming our commitment to the Committee’s founding mission," D'Esposito, a retired NYPD detective, said.
