Seaford High School Hosting Free Football Camp this Week
Viking's longtime head coach Rob Perpall, assisting coaching staff and players are giving back to community with free football instruction to youngsters ages 5-13.

The football program is holding a free camp for local youngsters ages 5-13 this week starting Monday night.
The football camp will feature instruction from longtime Seaford High School head coach Rob Perpall, his assistant coaching staff as well as past and current Viking players. Coach Perpall said he decided to make the camp free as a way for his program to give back to the community. Perpall said he plans to have the camp every summer during the last week in July to provide instruction for the Seaford Broncos youth football program and all other youngsters in the community who want to learn the sport.
“Everybody is working on a volunteer basis and it is a total free football camp for all the young kids of Seaford,” said Perpall. “It’s the first camp of its kind.”

Perpall said next year he is also planning to run a free softball camp during the same week as football that would be held during the day. In addition to his football success, Perpall has also thrived as a softball coach at Seaford capturing several championships including a this past season.
For this week’s football camp, Perpall said there will be a total of 14 coaches with over 100 participants expected. The camp gets underway Monday night and will run through Thursday each evening from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. under the lights at the Seaford High School football field. Perpall said people who have not signed up can still come by for the camp and he will provide them football equipment.
