Seaford Native Shining with Adelphi Track & Field

Seaford native Kelly Clifford is shining during her first season competing with the Adelphi University women’s track & field team.

The 2012 MacArthur High School graduate was name the Northeast-10 Conference’s Rookie of the Week on Monday after racking up three-top five finishes in the field events during the Richard Stockton College of New Jersey Invitational on March 23. The 6-3 Clifford's performance was highlighted by placing second in the triple jump with a mark of 10.12 meters. 

During her high school track & field career at MacArthur in Levittown, Clifford was a four-time All-Conference and All-County honoree and named All-Long Island three times. She also excelled in the classroom while achieving High Honor Roll Status and being a member of the National Honor Society. 

Clifford is majoring in elementary education and plans to pursue a career in teaching.
