Seaford Ushers In Holiday Spirit With Annual Tree Lighting

A video camera-wielding drone flew over the Seaford firehouse to capture the department’s 48th annual tree lighting ceremony Dec. 4.

Down below, Santa Claus led the countdown to the tree that was illuminated in multi-colored lights. P.J. Lochner, chairman of the fire department's annual tree-lighting committee, set up the Christmas displays with his crew of elves, and dancers from Downstage Dance Studio in Seaford performed at the event.

Seaford resident Nicholas Girimonte and fellow videographer Matthew Charren took the drone and other footage they shot at the event and created a video set to Kelly Clarkson’s ‘Underneath the Tree.’
