- Yesterday marked the 10th anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center that took the lives of many area residents. There were 9/11 memorial ceremonies held yesterday in Wantagh, Levittown and Seaford. - There will be a battle for local high school boys soccer bragging rights when Division makes the short trip to take on cross town opponent Island Trees in a non-league game kicking off at 7 p.m.
- Monday is expected to be mostly sunny in southeast Nassau County with a high near 78 degrees and 20 percent chance of rain, according to the National Weather Service.
- The Levittown Public Library will hold an adult book discussion with moderator Fran Cohen today at 1 p.m. featuring The Blue Orchard by Jackson Taylor.
