Teen Robbed, Assaulted On Bike Trail In Wantagh: Police
Two people, who were on mini dirt bikes, are sought, police said.

WANTAGH, NY — A teen was assaulted while riding his bike in Wantagh on Friday afternoon, police said.
Two men rode up on dirt bikes near the entrance of a trail on Island Road near Jennie Road, police said.
They confronted the boy as one man punched the victim in the face before pulling him to the ground, police said.

The victim tried to defend himself when the second man punched and kicked him, police said.
Witnesses saw the incident and went to intervene when one of the men took the victim's backpack, authorities said.

The men fled eastbound on Island Road on green and red mini dirt bikes.
The victim suffered cuts and bruises to his elbows and left knee. His lip and forehead were swollen.
