Police ID Woman Who Died In Nassau House Fire

She was 69 years old, police say.

WANTAGH, NY — Police have identified the victim of a weekend house fire in Wantagh.

Wendy Bonilla, 69, died in the Saturday night blaze at her home on Stanford Court, police said.

Bonilla was taken from the residence as the fire spread just before 8 p.m. She was pronounced dead a short time later at an area hospital.

Police and fire officials are investigating the blaze which saw departments from Wantagh, North Bellmore, Seaford and Bethpage assist at the scene.
