Voters Pass Wantagh Library Budget
The $2.4 million spending plan passes by 72 votes.
The proposed Wantagh Public Library budget was approved by voters Tuesday.
The $2.4 million spending plan was passed by a 72-vote margin, 137 to 65. The budget is a $38,234 increase and will mean an extra a $2.54 in taxes for the average Wantagh homeowner, according to library officials.
The Seaford Public Library budget was also given its stamp of approval by voters earlier this month. The $2.1 million spending plan passed on April 3 by 73 votes, 94 to 21.
