Wantagh Children's Librarian Named Director at Island Trees

The Wantagh library's loss will be Island Tree's gain.

Wantagh Children's librarian Michele Vaccarelli will be leaving her position to become the new director at the Island Trees Public Library, officials rom oth libraries said.

Vaccarelli will start her new job on Sept. 23. 

"We wish her much success in her new position," Wantagh director Maggie Marino, wrote in a statement on the Library Website. "Miss Michele will be sorely missed by her co-workers and the community."

Vaccarelli will take over for Island Trees director Jessica Koenig who left to become the director of the Island Park Public Library.
