“As a volunteer firefighter with the Wantagh Fire Department for over 33 years, I’ve seen firsthand how critical donated blood can be in saving lives,” Rhoads said in a statement. “Just one pint of blood can mean the difference between life and death for up to three people — a powerful reminder of how much good a single act of generosity can do for the lives of those who live, work, and serve right here in our community. I’m thrilled to once again team up with the Wantagh Fire Department for this life-saving initiative and encourage everyone who can to roll up their sleeves and give the gift of life.”
