Wantagh HS To Open Doors Again Sunday for Warmth, Charging

Wantagh High School Cafeteria will be open for second straight for district residents to charge electronics and grab coffee.

Wantagh High School will once again be opening its doors Sunday for district residents out of power from Superstorm Sandy to find some warmth and charge their electronics.

The school's cafeteria will be open from noon to 4 p.m. Wantagh district officials also allowed residents to use its high school faility on Saturday.

"Today we had many members of our community taking advantage of our hospitality....parents and students were charging devices, children were watching videos, tv's were up and running and everyone was enjoying light snacks and a warm building," said Wantagh Acting Superintendent Maureen Goldberg.
