Wantagh Native Selected Tri-Captain of Georgetown Women's Lacrosse Team

Wantagh native Erin Lovett has been selected to be a tri-captain of the Georgetown University women’s lacrosse team in the 2012 season.

Lovett, a senior midfielder, will return to the field next year after an injury forced her to sit out most of the 2011 season. In 2010 as a sophomore, Lovett played in 17 games with one start and had 13 goals with nine assists.

Lovett is a 2008 graduate of Kellenberg Memorial in Uniondale where she earned Under Armour All-America honors and was named one of the top 25 players by Inside Lacrosse her senior season. As a junior at Kellenberg, Lovett earned Catholic High School Player of the Year honors.

Georgetown finished last season 9-8 and won the Big East regular season title.
