Wantagh/Seaford Crime Report: DWI and Bike Thefts

Sept. 17 to Sept. 23.

The following information was supplied by the Nassau County Police Department. A criminal charge is only an accusation, and does not indicate convictions.

DWI

On Sept. 20, a 19-year-old Wantagh man was arrested on Oakland Avenue in Wantagh and charged with DWI and Aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.

Larceny From Auto

On  Sept. 20,  a pocketbook was stolen from an unlocked vehicle in the parking lot of Pathmark at 4055 Merrick Road in Seaford, cops said. The theft took place at 4:30 p.m.


Petty Larceny

On Sept. 18, a bicycle was stolen from the side of a home on Jane Street in Wantagh, police said. The theft occurred between 1:30 p.m. and 3 p.m.

On Sept. 23, a bike was stolen from the Bike rack of a vehicle parked at the Seaford LIRR station, police said. The theft occurred between 7:45 a.m. and 7: 25 p.m.

On Sept. 17 a thief stole a cell phone from the AT&T Wireless store in Wantagh at 5:30 p.m., police said.
